Comfort Zone
People who are surrounded with things that provide psychological comfort may be described as being within their comfort zone. Because of the personal nature of positive associations, psychological comfort is highly subjective.
When choosing the colors or design for a quilt, or when purchasing a quilt, consideration must be given to how it makes you feel. Do you like the way the colors intermix? Do you like the design - squares, circles, plaids or stripes? Does it make you "feel good"? If you find yourself wanting to change things, it's wrong for you. |
It's all about Comfort
Don't comfort and quilts go hand in hand? Not necessarily. Comfort, doesn't just mean warm, pleasant to touch, snug, cozy, or the right size. Although, those qualities take care of the physical side, in order for a quilt to be completely comfortable, it needs to satisfy your psychological side too. |
Psychological Comfort
Synonyms for comfort include enjoyment, happiness, pleasure, relaxation, satisfaction, well-being, cheer, peace and restfulness. If the quilt doesn't meet your psychological comfort, you will never be able to truly enjoy it. Keep looking.
